I've upgraded Go Forum Yourself to vBulletin 4.0. This update provides security fixes, performance improvements, and some new features.

While most updates are invisible to end-user, this is a major version upgrade that unfortunately broke some stuff. However, all users and posts should have carried over from the old forums.

Among the immediate changes:
  • No arcade. I will look into finding an arcade plugin that's compatible with this version of vBulletin, but it's not a high priority right now.
  • Ugly default forum skin. As usual, the stock vBulletin skin looks like ass. I will look for a better theme once I get everything else sorted out.
  • Borked promotions system. Promotions to add permissions (sig, avatar, etc) with post counts did not carry over, so I will have to redo them. Until then, no new perms will be added.
  • Redid forum permissions. This should be fixed now. Access rights for the boards did not carry over, and had to be redone.
